I just watched Firefly. The pilot and the first episode of the first season.

Is it just me or is there really big resemblance to Buffy/Angel characters?
Ex-Caleb feels like a mix of Spike and Angel, the doctor like young Wesley, his sister like Fred...

Still, have to d*wnl*ad more. *grins*

It to me seems that all of Joss' characters start off in the same personality molds, and them he develops them later when it looks like he'll have enough time. Plots are just more important to him.

Yeah, maybe. It just seemed so equal i.e. the sister how she was at a disturbing place and got saved and is now (1x01) a shy, kinda crazy person with very high intelligence like Fred...

I will watch more of the series and see. :)
