I just watched Firefly. The pilot and the first episode of the first season.

Is it just me or is there really big resemblance to Buffy/Angel characters?
Ex-Caleb feels like a mix of Spike and Angel, the doctor like young Wesley, his sister like Fred...

Still, have to d*wnl*ad more. *grins*

Hm, I never felt that they were like the Buffy/Angel characters but that's likely because I never really got into BtVS/AtS until after I watched Firefly and fell for it. I love all three series though.

I did like how Joss used several of the characters in episode of BtVS/AtS after Firefly went kaput. It was sweet and showed they could act (to me). Make sure you catch the movie if it comes out near you. It's amazing.

I don't really think the characters are similar to the Buffy/Angel ones. I think the more you see of the series the more distint the Firefly characters will become.

It to me seems that all of Joss' characters start off in the same personality molds, and them he develops them later when it looks like he'll have enough time. Plots are just more important to him.

Yeah, maybe. It just seemed so equal i.e. the sister how she was at a disturbing place and got saved and is now (1x01) a shy, kinda crazy person with very high intelligence like Fred...

I will watch more of the series and see. :)

for me its more like... but he is evil! about the guy who playes calab and is in firefly... mind u i have only ever seen one episode :)

where did u get it from? i missed the first ep and in all honesty i havent really looked for it but i would like to see it.

*heeeee* Same here. Everytime he comes in I think that too. He is evil!! I hope that goes away after watching a few more episodes.
