Out of the Closet?

I wondered what kind of experiences you made..

1. How did you get into slash?

2. Does your significant other know about you reading / writing slash?
How was his/her/their reaction? Did it improve your sexlife?

3. Do other friends/family members know about it and how was their reaction to you reading/writing slash?

permission to take to your own lj of course

A friend of mine made a random comment one day that the majority of slash was written by females, I, being so innocent, had no idea what slash was so he explained.

This was probably 2 years ago. My brother then showed me fanfic for Stargate SG-1 last year and I started to read it and then moved on to Harry Potter fanfic.

I discovered slash when I realized most of the gen/het stories were very insipid and often written by very young writers. I read a few slash pieces that knocked my socks off and haven't turned back since.

My brother and mom know I write slash and they don't like what I write but they support my writing anyway. I tell people I write fanfic but I don't usually tell them it's slash because most hardcore hets just don't seem to get it.

I have no significant other, so .. I imagine that if I did, the only way it would improve it is if he were also curious about guys and I could somehow arrange a threesome.. Ooh did I just say that? ;)

It's a shame, isn't it? They don't realize what they miss. Heehee.
