Results

We've got the results of our end exams this morning.
I actually passed the six written exams but I failed my diploma thesis.

That means I am not accepted for the oral exams and my studies extend. I have 3 more months to find a new topic for a thesis and write it. Should I pass it, I have my orals in December and if I pass them I'll finally graduate after 3 years and 3 months. Since my employer pays for my studies and I am over the regular time, my salary will be shortened. 15% less than before which is a looot less money for me.

I am very happy for my boyfriend who passed all the exams and the thesis. His chances for getting a real good job now are great and he promised to support me with my thesis. He's going to move in with me soon and he'll pay his share of rent so I'll get by with the shortened salary. No worries.

My family is very dissapointed and didn't even acknowledge that I passed the written exams. They don't believe that I can still graduate.

I am very, very sad, very dissapointed with myself. I hoped, I wished soooo much that I'd pass everything in the first round. I dreamed of going to the handing out ceremony of the diploma and to the dance afterwards with him, happy and proud that we really graduated... well, dreams are dreams and stay dreams, hm?!

I feel so stupid.

*hugs* You are not stupid! A thesis is a huge thing to write, and many people have to give it more than one try, hunny.

No, don't feel stupid at all! Those exams are hard, and the fact that you got to them at all proves you're extremely intelligent. You're not the only person that's failed it, I can guarantee that. It just means to try again. That's all sweetie. Don't give up.

dont be so silly u are not stupid! think of the bright side at least you passed 5 exames! imagine if u faild more then 1.... imagine if u only passed 2 exames....
