Fire & Ice Archive

Hey there!

What happened to the Fire & Ice Archive??

2 stories?

http://fire-and-ice-archive.acsfanfictionportal.com/

I found this fragment of it: http://fireice.www5.50megs.com/SpikeXander/?thumb=1

and read this fic: Dreamer by TommyRoddy
http://fireice.www5.50megs.com/SpikeXander/TommyR/dreamer.html

which was very good but ended suddenly.

Any ideas???

Are you my long lost twin?
That sounds all as if I said it. 26 windows is pretty normal to me. lol.
I lost all my bookmarks a few weeks back but I am slowly rebuilding my "extra fic only bookmark folder with folders for every single letter". *sighs*

and you have a great track record for picking out good ones.
I do? I mean you know that why?

Thanks very much for the links, I think the first two I didn't read before. Gonna do so after I finished reading <a href="http://home.earthlink.net/~elizashaw/>Turnabout</a>. I worked my way through the Spike/Xander list - I only stopped for the long fics though, I am not a friend of short fics or drabbles, they just leave me unsatisfied. Long fics are the real thing. It's sad to see a lot of the links broken though. Thanks for your offer for more links, I'll come back to that soon. I do need fics to take with me when I get into the "weekdays dorm of hell with no internet access". Btw.. are you interessted in setting up a lj rec community for long fics/ wips with me?

Hee! Sounds like we might share a few gene pairs at that. *grins*

I can't imagine losing all of my bookmarks... although I love the idea of highjacking yours. A folder for every letter sounds like very good organization, considering that mine are sorted by such helpful titles as 'incredible smut' 'great angst' and 'badly written but fun'.

Your track record isn't that long, but so far in your journal you've mentioned three fics, none of which I'd read, and all of which I liked. (Turnabout being one of them. ;)

I read all lengths of fics, mainly because I'm a speed reader and can't afford to be picky, but I admit that long fics make me happiest. There's something lovely about settling in to a fic, isn't there? Mmm.

No internet access? Good grief. Computer access, I hope? Or are you going to have to print off all of these fics? If so, yow. Unfortunate. Just ask when you need more links, and if you want to specify pairings then that would work too.

Btw.. are you interested in setting up a lj rec community for long fics/ wips with me?

Really? That sounds like fun, actually. It'd be nice for us to be able to share all of these obsessively catalogued fics with other people, eh? *grins* Not to mention letting me keep tabs on what you're finding, which is a not unconsiderable perk in itself...

YAY. Let's do the community thing and feel like hippies.
Or better not. lol.

So.. can we get into chat contact? aim, msn or yahoo? my id's are in the userinfo, just ping me whenever you have time. *bounces*

Your choice of organisation doesn't sound bad! At least you know what you get into when you open something. Most likely we can combine that in a way for the community.

And yes, I have my little laptop baby to take fics with me and to write and stuff, but I can't imagine anymore how to live without lj! *cries*

And links are always of the good, ooooh can't wait to set the community up.
Chat me up soon? *bounces*
