However, there are a large number of people who don't seem to think through very well their criticisms of LJ, or what they intend to do about it. They often engage in frivolous, ineffectual acts of protest against LJ's administration. I believe this group is a detriment to the whole group of LJ critics. They erode its credibility and make it into a joke. I am worried that these users are overwhelming the LJ critics who have useful things to say and proposals to enact. Bluntly, the content strike (boycott?) of the 21st was a vast failure. It was a failure in design...

My opinion: It's better to do something than to do nothing at all.
