Beta's
I searched for a beta on several pages last night.
I have some fics on adultfanfiction.net and a lot of people really like them, said my English was okay ...
Nevertheless I would feel better with a beta.
Problem?
I looked at a lot of pages yesterday and they all had advice for writer too. Looks like I make a lot of the things they advice you not to do. Wonder why people read my fics at all.
The citizen_against_bad_slash gave me the last kick in the stomach, saying something like
"Offering a flimsy excuse does not give you license to misspell as you please and change verb tense at random."
and I went to bed.
Not sure if being German is a flimsy excuse but hey, I am trying and I am searching for a beta!
Well, they may be right in a lot of things they say on that page and I will go back there - when I am calmer - but I just don't like the rude and annoyed tone they use.
No, I am not overly fragile or anything but why hurt a newbie in fanfic if you can give him advice while staying friendly?
They don't have to read fics, have they? And they can stop reading them, if things occur which make their stomachs churn, can't they?
So, I am still without a beta and I just hope, somebody who read my story and the note: "Anybody out there who wants to beta?" below it, will be answered soon.
