My work browser doesn't support Cookies so I can't log into my GMail account where I sent my fics to I wanted to look over or add to today.

joolzmp7, with a bit luck ready to post tonight. Dunno. Haven't slept much the last night, just about two hours in front of my puter so I don't know how I feel in about ten hours when I am back home.Comments would be great.
Hm.. tell me:
1. Which pairing (BtVS/AtS) do you prefer, why and how did you get to that pairing?
2. Which pairing (BtVS/AtS) makes you puke and why?

Let's see...
1. I favor Spike/Xander. I formed major issues with the Spike/Buffy pairing and all other het pairings at the time bored me. I found S/X by accident, it was the first slash I read and still the one I go back to. They are my OTP and always will be. There are other slash pairings I like (S/A, X/A, L/A, Wes/A, L/X) and even some het every now and then, like some Spike/Illyria or Spike/Dru.
2. Spike/Buffy. It's the pairing I started out reading when the show was still in Season 3, but when season 6 aired the pairing disturbed me. Don't get me wrong, I like a fic that deals with darker situations, because I like AU and I'm all about the angst, but actually seeing how abusive the relationship was (on both ends) was really difficult to get past. I can't even give a Spuffy story a chance any more. I run screaming from a fic with that pairing. Also, Willow/Xander, I've never read a fic where I believed it. Besides, my Xander's gay!

I think he has more chance of being happy with Xander - they are more equal in my mind. Spike may be stronger and older but Xander (if written properly), while he is a spaz sometimes, is prepared to fight if he believes in something. I could go on at length about these two - I think about them far too much, and I feel sorry for my friend who has actually had the e-mails with detailed character studies, etc.
Obsessed? Moi? Maybe a bit.
Oh, and the second bit of why? Coz they're hot, babe, sizzling hot.
2. Which pairing makes me puke? Oh, god, such a wide choice... In the actual series, I have to say Spuffy. Should not have happened. Something Blue was fun to watch, coz that's as far as it should have gone. In fanfic, gotta be Angel/Connor. Why? Two reasons, first one just eugh! Incest fics don't squick me, but this pairing seems so unrealistic. Yep, Angel can be depraved and so on, but I don't think that he would ever willing do that. He'd have to have spiralled so far into darkness that I couldn't read the fic.
Second reason, I couldn't stand Connor. At all. He's the only reason why I didn't watch the last quarter of AtS season 4. Only the promise of Spike lured me back. Then they cancelled it. Bastards. I will grudgingly admit to thinking Connor was okay in season 5, would have been interesting to see how things would have developed.
Remember, these are just my opinions and I know that some people won't like them. I just feel so strongly about them. Please don't slap me for them...

My first Buffy OTP was Spike/Buffy (since School Hard :D). The first slash fics I read were Spangel and I still love them. My first OTP over at Angel was Lindsey/Angel and I didn't know anything about slash fic at that time, they were just so damn hot together! I've also liked the idea of Anel/cordy since the first season of Ats. With Connor it was love at the first sight too and when I thought with whom I want to see him, (who could put on with all the angst and still love him), the answer was Spike and I'm still on that road. Those two are my absolute OTP, but you knew that already ;D.
On the pairings I don't like Buffy/Giles. I can't say why. It isn't the cest factor 'cause I even like Angel/Connor. I like Giles too, but I like him with Anya. Then I have to confess that I don't like Spike/Xander (please, don't kill me), because I somehow I don't want them together just the two of them.(I mean I don't usually read Xander fics). Sorry, can't give you a better reason for not liking S/X, maybe it's beacuse I was so invested in other Spike pairings, hmm.

2. I have a hard time doing anything with Giles. I know he's a favorite of some, but I can't. I won't read any crossover with Harry Potter because I dislike HP so much. Crossovers in general confuse me when I'm not familiar with the show that's being crossed... if that made sense.
Have fun (ha!) at work - I dread going in already and it's only 9:40 where I lurk.
